3rd gen question

Thanks for adding me to the list, I look forward to this new project!

Question: It says there are only '2' dome lights for the 3rd gen. However the photos show the lights above rear view mirror, dome lights in front, and dome lights in rear all appearing to be LED.

Does your kit include all of these lights?

Yes it comes with the map lights and dome lights, FULL led interior:cowboy:

As of now, the 3rd gen kit components for the first 25 buyers are in transit to me! I bit the bullet and ordered 25 sets worth! haha It was an extra 3-4 day wait for me as a supplier but if I can entertain 25 at a time then it will lead to more happy customers!

As I said, I do not collect payment until the parts are in transit to me(2 day shipping) so I do not have a bunch of aggrevated buyers and if the parts are late they cannot give me bad feedback! lol

Just a heads up! The payment request will be sent out later today(1st 25 3rd gen buyers on lists)! This will be stated in the message but the deadline to pay will be friday, if you do not pay within the first 72 hours and do not contact me to inform me of any arrangements, I will move somebody from the next list up to take your spot!

Shouldn't be too long! About another 3-4 weeks since the 3rd gen group buy 1 is now under way!

Here is the answer: I sent it out this morning

Sorry it took long, I was ironing out the details in the payment message! We have a 2000 character limit in the messages hahah so I tried to be as concise as possible! That issue coupled with starting up the excel file which will keep track of the orders was a lot of work, but now we are good to go:driving:

Btw guys, Theretrofitsource.com is having a 25% off promo on ALL their products because of a group buy I started on another forum! Just wanted to share the discount because I have seen some 3rd gen owners do a projector retrofit! Code is IH8MUD25 and it is case sensitive. You can also call them up so they will give you the easiest projector to retrofit! It is super easy, the morimoto mini H1 projector just screws into the OEM bulb input

The morimoto mini projector that I ordered fit in the oem bulb hole of the xterra (original bulb is 9007) and a mercedes benz(original bulb is an h7). That is the best part of the morimoto mini, least modification! Housing of the 3rd gen has lots of space so this should be possible! I may have to add custom retrofits in my business, the labor for it, not the parts because TRS got the best customer service and reliability in that department :bigok: You can see my landcruiser in the bg in some of these pics lol

Some info on the projector retrofit
Projector: Morimoto mini H1 bi-xenon projector
HID: 6000k 35w H1 kit
Projector shrouds: Newly released MC-R shroud from TRS. 18SMD LED strip to light up the holes in the shroud, used as a DRL

Since I sell LED dome lights and other map panels, I decided to create an adapter out of some spare t10 dome light adapters to use on the LED strips. This way, the LED strip mounted behind the shroud can act in the same manner as the original park light/DRL

Seal the headlights up using RTV silicon after reheating the oem glue and reusing the oem headlight glue. THIS IS STRONG ADHESIVE!

Mount and hide the HID ballasts while waiting for the headlights to dry. Cut the H4 to 9006 Harness. Since this is a bixenon projector, you can cut the high beam portion of the HID bulb(which is halogen). DO NOT CUT THE LOW BEAM WIRES
