sport bumper paint code

Hello,

I have been following this forum for some time now but just signed up as I have purchased a 2005 sport. So far the 4runner has been great(3 weeks). After only 10 days of ownership, the 4runner was rear ended and requires the sport bumper cover(silver) panel painted. My problem is that the body shop can't find the paint code (1E9?) for the silver. After some brief surfing around, I cannot find it either.

Does anybody here have a clue?

Thank You

Terry.

Why not just get the whole silver bumper part.. should only be ~ $80. Probably cheaper than having it repainted, and then it's new :)

yes, the body shop has ordered the part new and it doesn't come painted according to them.

Oddly enough I ordered the same part and received mine unpainted.... I can't believe toyota doesn't pre-paint these since it's a model specific part....

Hey, if you want you can look up the paint code for your truck, and have them paint it to the color of your truck. The limiteds have it color matched to their truck. I have a scratch on mine already, so I'm planning to get it color matched to my truck.

I just bought used '04 and had to replace the gas cap door.
(it flew off on the test drive) and it is not painted.
The dealership keeps wanting me to come by and have it painted,
but I kinda like the flat black.
In fact, I've begun painting some of the trim flat black, too.

I have the same truck as you and 1E9 is the body color (Galactic Grey). If you get any silver for that year, you will have what you need. If I was you, I would just paint it the body color and it will just look more like the 06-09 body style.

Same thing happend to me recently, stopped to get some gas, and the gas door came off in my hand. Installed a new gas door and didn't bother to get it painted...I think the flat black looks good.
