My wife's friend backed into the Sport Edition OEM Bumber Bar. Im worried due to the fact these are no longer available that i wont be able to get a replacement.

Anyone able to calm my fears?

Yea those things are somewhat of a rarity. You can check with partznet.com or maybe burtman... but I think you'll have a hard time finding them. GL with the search, worst case you can just say "it's an excuse to upgrade!"

Im planning on bringing it to a dealership bodyshop. Hoping they can remedy the parts problem.

I would, if he pays out of pocket then great, but if he flakes, you have something to fall back on.

Wife just got home. Bumper itself looks ok. The OEM bar is toast though.

I'll be callin n getting it fixed ASAP. The dude that rear'd her is pissy that im goin insurance-route, but im not tryin to get hosed.

Can this be something i can replace on my own? Or should i let the body shop take care of it?

Send the guy the link for the new bar. You can switch them out in about an hour or so. Just make him pay for the part.

That may be easier said than done...

Called that site to see if the "IN STOCK!" was actually reality...nope! They "dont typically keep that part in stock" (doesnt that pretty much go against what your website states?) so i think im screwed again.

Anyone know of any good spare parts websites?
