Well I'm new been looking for 2006 -2009 Sport 4x4 v8 4 runner White , not much luck . I was going to ad the limited to the search.

BUT I found a 2008 sport [ V6 ] 90,000 4.5 out of a 5 rated WHITE no dings grey leather nav and looks like everything else that the sports have.

Bad news he is at $22,000.00 should I pass ? WHITE is hard to find and thats my color could live with BLACK .

How bad is this price ?

On used 4Runners worth and value are hard to determine. They're worth what people are willing to pay for them. I know that doesn't help. But it does vary by region.

It sounds like it's the one you want with the features you want. I don't think you'd be getting ripped off at that price. If you keep looking after you buy I'm sure you'll eventually find one for more and you'll find them for less.

Here's a 2005 (not the year range you're looking for) going for $17999 locally. It's a Limited though and with more miles. Plus, it's a V8 so quite a different bird than the Sport you're looking at. It's been up on CL for over a month so I think he has it priced to high since no one seems to find it worth as much as he's asking. At least not yet.

It's white though, if that helps.

I was in the pre-owned lot in Carlsbad, CA a year and half ago and they had at least 10 V6's with a couple that were 4x4. Couldn't give them away. No V8 so I wasn't interested.

is the V8 all that better if no serious off road ? Is v8 good because dying breed or just to tow with ?

I'd say the price is a bit steep for the miles on it but as previously said prices vary greatly by region so just compare it to other 4runners for sale around you.

IMO it's only worth getting the V8 if you plan on towing a lot. For going off road you could make an argument the V6 is better but they're both more than adequate in that arena.

Test drive a V8 even if it isn't the color you want - just to get a feel for the engine. Do the same for the V6. If you decide you can't live without the V8 then you'll have to be patient. To me it wasn't a deciding factor. I cared more about the condition of the vehicle and service history than it being a V6 or V8. I would have been fine with either.

Not to get into a giant 6vs8 debate, but I had the option of choosing between a 6 and an 8. The 8 was a year newer, with about the same milage. I tow, but nothing over 1800-2000lbs so the v8 was intriguing but not necessary. The 8 was also $3k more. butI had enough to afford either. I chose the v6 mainly due to color, saving $3k was a bonus. Shadow Mica in the sunlight is an incredible selling point IMO

I paid 18k for a 2006 white SE 4x4 V6 last October. It only had 71k miles, so that might be something to consider.

Thanks for all the response. I did pay down to hold the v6 white it had a rating of 4.9 out of 5 at the sale.
Now I want to first put the exhaust out the rt side ,that looks neat. I had fun researching to buy and learned a lot . I was worried about off road lite and just power to clime a bank etc with the v6. I have aluminum trailer BMW gs motorcycle zero turn mover that's my hauling.

I paid 23.5 for a 2008 v6 sport with only 29K on it last year but it took me forever to find it. I saw lots of 2007 vs sport with 40K on it for around 20K
