What year is your truck? I'm assuming you want painted fenders yes? if so then you could do that but a cheaper alternative would be to paint them yourself or have a shop do it for you. and welcome to the site.

I have an 03 Limited that I'd like to slap the stock sport plastic on (once I get the shrockworks replacement front bumper). Would it just be as simple as getting the stock parts and putting them on? The body pannels aren't different on the sports to account for the thickness of the plastic, are they?

They should be the same. All you gotta do is take care of the clips that hold onto the body and the fenders. As for the thickness I don't know. Why don't you line x your fenders. I don't know how well the plastic fenders hold up but if there like the Chevy Avalanches they don't last long and fade. However I did see a couple of old 4th gens, I'm guessing 03 04 at some of those junkyards off I35 if you wanna snag some.
Thanks for the heads up. I will diefinitely have to check them out. Junkyards north or south of town on 35? I won't be installing them anytime soon, though. I just want to build up a stockpile of the things I want to use on my rig when I'm ready to start modding it. I don't want to use the spray on until the thing isn't my daily driver. I found a 32k mile 03 that I'm going to baby for a while, but I have big enough plans for it down the road.

Ah ok. The junk yards are on 35 going towards 1604. I pass them alot when going home from the downtown UTSA campus. I saw them as I snag some old sport rims to have them powder coated. Its a import junkyard at least thats what it says on the fence.
