Sport Hood Find :(

Called a local junk yard about a 2000 4Runner that was listed on Craigslist as a “parts car” and I asked the manager about the sports hood that was listed for $50 and he said it was in good condition with no defects. Went to the junk yard this morning with a smile on my face knowing that my long search of finding a sports hood with the correct color would finally be coming to an end. As you can see by the picture, it’s obviously not in good condition. I’m assuming that the dents can’t be worked out?!

no but you could pull off all of the parts needed for the hood to mount it and get one of those ebay hoods, or id just keep looking

I went threw basically the same thing the other day with a junkyard in the area, except the guy explained that there was damage on the one corner..I asked how much, he says $200...Im like dude, you just got done telling me it was damaged!! :lmao: I told him without looking at it, that $100 was the most I would pay..of course he said no...I just laughed and told him good luck selling it.

Yea... take it for the rest of the parts... repairing the dent would cost more than a new hood.

i drive all day for work and i see dozens of runners a day. i have only seen maybe 2 white sports ever. that would have been a find.

The dents probably could be fixed...of course with lots of time and $ involved. Probably not worth that.
