sport hood questions

So I was recently in a fender bender that screwed up my hood/grill/bumper/airbox/passenger headlight.. the accident ended up coming back 50/50 and I don't pay for full coverage so repairs are out of pocket.

I'm looking to go with a sport hood now and called certifit and they want 96 and some change for a hood and I have to drive 150 miles 1 way to pick it up.

Or I found rock auto carries them and have 3 options of suppliers just wondering if anyone has bought one from them. I have a discount I get from rockauto and seems like I could get it for cheaper or the same of what it would cost to get it from certifit.

I got my scoop hood from ebay pay like $120 if i remember correctly. But it was aftermarket tho.

I bought a aftermarket sport hood, it came primered but not painted keep in mind a good paint job is a couple hundred bucks. The hood scoop grille and inserts cost more than the hood itself but the fit of those parts was good. The hood itself fit okay, the fender gap isn't quite even and that's after tweeking the hinges a little. Lastly I had to oval out the latch mount holes, move the latch over and still had to beat the £ü€¥ out of the latch stricker to get it to line up.

Looks fantastic from in the cabin and you'd never know it wasn't OEM unless I pointed out the little things.

Definitely added about 10hp!

Yeah is so true about the aftermarket hood that they have a few things that are not perfect like oem. I still have issues when i close the hood and i have move the latch but it just not close right on my rig.

Nothing fits better than OEM! I ordered my hood from Toyota...have a buddy that works there. Get a break on the price. IIRC it was about $180...but fitment is 100% perfect! Nice metal to work with to paint also! That my two cents...for what it's worth.
