sport hood scoop pieces?!?!

So once again I jumped without looking..... picked up a sport hood for a decent price of $120........ with no plastic pieces........ unpainted. :sobbing:

I figured "oh those plastics will be cheap and I can get Javier to paint it, this will be cake! done by next week no problem!"

Then I went on ebay....... $142 and change!!! :wow:

please, someone tell me they know of a "cheaper" way to get these plastics!!!!

Look for someone with a 3-D printer....

call around to local junkyards.... if one has a sport model....

take a phillips screw drive (one hidden screw under the hood heat/ sound material) and a 10mm socket (5 bolts)... after those 6 fasteners are out, it'll jiggle right out.

Make a Satoshi-style insert. I'm not sure what it looks like without the plastic, but it seems like you could DIY with something better/more functional.

sadly i would need at least the outer trim to make this hood look passable. I do plan on making it functional (at least for a heat vent) but a d.i.y on this is way out of my experience range (I fix things with hammers)

Ive got a hook on one that should work (fingers crossed) then i have to get it all painted.

caveman, i know this is stupidly expensive. someone needs to find a way to make them about 30% cheaper and they would make a fortune!
