Sport hood WTB

Hey I really want a sport hood for My 1998 4runner limited. I've always wanted one and I don't mind paying an honest price. Please help me look or sell me one. I've looked up and down and can't find any. My location is Milwaukee WI 53221. :toilet:

Look up a Certafit close to you. They have them for $70ish and you can get the scoop guts for $106. With paint you're looking at $225.

HOLD UP. I just called certifit and they said the sport hood wont fit on my 4runner cause its a different model than the one I have and that I would need a TINKER or a Metal Fabricator to set the new one up. Is he on something or just blowing smoke?

Not true at all. All 3rd gen hoods fit all models. There are plenty of guys who have 96-98s and have gotten the scoop hood from Certafit.

They're only saying that because according to their little application guide, that hood was only for a '99-'02. As Adam said, all 3rd Gen hoods are interchangeable. You'll be fine.

Told you you were better off not buying mine. This should be cheaper for you I would think.

Thanks for the Certifit lead fellows. The store two hours away has them in stock. I picked up an insert in fair condition over the weekend. Now, come on payday.

Thats the exact store I got my 99+ headlights from. Im sure they would have told me they wont fit a 98 either. So to make it simple I just said they were for a 99 4runner :thumb3:

$75.75. I had him double check it, since it seemed a bit cheap. I know it's not OEM, but i thought it would run a bit more.

To anyone doubting it will fit, my 96 has a certifit sport hood. You have to buy the insert pieces from toyota though.
