2003 Yamaha R6.
I bought it after my freshman year of college at the beginning of 2007. I rode that thing all through college, saving on gas, especially when the gas prices spiked. I still own the bike to this day. I think it has over 50,000 miles or something on it.
Here are some pictures before I wrecked it in 2008. I was at Fort Mountain near Chatsworth, GA when I low sided at ~45mph.
Here she is the day I bought it. I didn't even know how to ride it when I first brought it home lol. My buddy who has an R1 taught me how to ride.
My leathers saved me during that crash. I walked away unscathed, however my bike was toast. I've rebuilt her since my crash, however she still bares some of the scars from that day.
Because of my career frequently moving me around, I've hardly ridden since 2011. Bike's been sitting in my dad's basement for a few years. Now that I'm finally settling in the Atlanta area, I'm looking forward to riding more frequently again.
I've always wanted to do a track day, but somehow have never been able to find the time. Mainly just street riding, in my two-piece leathers if I'm going to be pushing it.
Last year I did trailer my bike up to the Cherohala Skyway with my 4Runner, and rode with my buddy who has the R1. He took some pretty good video with his GoPro. I agree that Deals Gap is overrated. I remember going through a blind curve several years ago and almost colliding with a Harley who had crossed into my lane. The Skyway is much better.
My wife has a 2007 Ninja 250 that I taught her to ride. I don't have any pictures of it on my phone though.
