spray on bedliner vs roll on bedliner

Which one is better spray on bedliner vs roll on bedliner.I have spray on bedliner and it works well.:jump:

No differance. if you want it smoother i would go with a spray on. but if bumpy is fine either will work. main differance is brand.

I have a spray in bed liner (Qwikliner), and have been very happy with it,Spray in.......... very nice, durable, doesn't fade, good looks, you can actually dump a load of rip-raff on it.
Roll in.......... looks ok, fades yearly, is a PITA when half of it peals and flakes and you have to remove it to get a spray in.

Lack of prep/adhesion is the biggest problem causing peeling in any case of paint materials.

I used herculiner inside my jeep with good results but when I put it in the bed of my old truck it faded and didn't hold up well.

I think it's depends on how much you want to spend. On a brand new truck, I would opt for a spray-on bedliner. However, I always have a second hand truck used primarily for Home Depot/dump/suburban duties and have used roll-on kits with very good success.

Sprayin all the way. The biggest factor is resin to epoxy mix. A heavier resin ratio will be "softer" but will fade faster. A heavier epoxy mix will spray a little thinner but will look better longer and cure harder. Prep is the key!! A good scuff - 100%, a good cleaning with acetone and you're ready to spray.

The spray on stuff is way better. I have rhino liner from front to back in the cab of my 88, the front and rear bumpers and the rails the hardtop sits on.

The stuff dealers spray on is way better. I have the complete outside sprayed with the DIY roll n stuff. I have used the Herculiner and the stuff from the auto parts store. If you go that route by an under coating spray gun off ebay and use that to spray on the the roll on stuff. it comes out alot smoother looking than if you roll it on.

I have used roll on bedliner and it's starting to bubble up around the hood after a very hard rain we just had in kansas

I used the roll herculiner for my offroad rig. If I had to do it over again I would spray it on..roll on was a PITA.
