Going to be a bit hot and possibly stormy by the time I make it out there in may.
Your trip pics were interesting, Weirdly Metal Masher didn't seem as bad as I had been thinking and Kane Creek seems harder. I haven't been on either myself yet.
Good pictures to know what to expect now!
We had unreal weather, but when it was near 80 degrees I was already too hot. But I'm more of a cold weather person. Most of Kane Creek isn't hard, just make sure you take the right creek crossings. I nearly sank my truck in the creek because I was leading and started crossing where I shouldn't have. It is really tight and brushy, and like TBuzz said your paint will take some abuse. The 2 hills near the end of the trail are what make it difficult, and they are worth the rating (especially the first hill).
Metal Masher really wasn't bad, some spotting required for our group certainly (we like to spot when in doubt, even if it's not really necessary). The optional stuff on the trail can make it very difficult. Be sure to post photos somewhere after you get out there!

Hey All, , I had a real good time. Met some solid people and enjoyed a mild day of wheeling in great weather. I also managed to learn a few things. First of which, never ever be near the ejection side of a max track. When it flew out it was breaking ankles or teeth. I consider myself very luck to have this pretty smile still and hoping everyone remembers that nono.
Good job spotting andworkig the group throug by everyone. Appreciate the efforts put forth to take all the photos. Looks like you guys made the most of it. My petty contribution or now until I figure out gopro software.
Chris-I wish I could say the bolt tore out. I'd liked to think so. A real pretrail ride inspection may have proven thatbit was just loose. Thus lesson two for me as to always follow up with basic inspections.
Tyler-It drove fine, it's not that far and it's wide open highway, nobody to pass. I pulled in at 8:45 thinking you guys were at the brewery.
That's quite the trail repair that was pulled off, what a team. I would say that was likely that hardest day of that trucks life.
This ladies day wasn't starting off as good as ours..
Thanks for sharing some photos man. Definitely the hardest few days of the 4th gens life, but Tracy made the most of it. Luckily we had Kyle there to help us out, it would have taken us a lot longer on our own without a doubt.
I guess it's good maybe that the bolt was just loose? Rather than it just flying out or shearing off. I never check those bolts, I suppose I should now.
Good point on the max tracks, those things had some velocity when they shot out the back.
