Hi guys I have a 06 4 Runner SR5 6cyl . I replaced my struts & shocks. The front struts I failed to mark the spring & bearing plate with paint. I used pen( bad move) i have downloaded the shop manual and it shows spring seat where spring stops should be facing the rear on driver side( left right) . There is paint on springs from toyota. Which im positive was facing the front. Are the top bearing plates angled??? I put the passenger side the same spring seat facing rear. Can anyone who has original struts that were t touched can you tell me where the spring starts and ends at bottom and bearing plate.. Also where r your paint marks facing. Thank you in advance

Same here. The manual how's a distinct orientation but I don't know why, it doesn't seem to impact anything.

Uh, what? You don't have struts and there is no top bearing. You have a double wishbone suspension that uses an upper and lower ball joint, and the steering knuckle turns independently of the coil and shock.
