Squeaking noise by coil springs/sway bars?

So a few months ago we installed new sway bar links due to the old ones being busted off during the lift install. Before the new ones were put on, I had a horrible squeaking noise near the tires when driving and I figured that was the problem.

Everything seemed fine after the new ones were put on but I noticed over the weekend it has been squeaking badly again. I'm not sure what would be the cause of the noise, if it has anything to do with the springs or sway bars? The noise is mostly on the driver side and sounds like its right next to the tire.

I had the exact same thing! I replaced the sway end links and now I have noise under the driver side. Weird.

Could be a bad lower or upper ball joint for sure or a bad outer tie rod end.

Yip, BJs or TREs, check the sway bar brackets to (the ones that hold the bar to the frame). You could lay under there while someone bounces on the truck too and maybe you'll see what's making the noise.

Yah like brian said. Sometimes too if your bushings arnt tight enough they can squeak too do what brian said and try to isolate the sound with a couple of you working at it.

I was talking to my fiance earlier today about what you guys thought it might be and he said he replaced the ball joint last summer when the lift was put on because the loser that was helping him install it busted it off.

So would it have gone bad that quickly or he's thinking it could just be the sway bar link is loose..

We need more info to help. Are your brake pads old?
Is the noise constant when it's doing it or erratic?
How often does it do it?
Does braking make it better or worse?
Does spinning a tire when it's jacked up make it do it?
Your dude changed A ball joint? How about the other 3? If one went bad, it's probably the other side. Or lower instead of an upper. If this is the case, do it immediately or have it done. Ball joint failure can be very dangerous.

I'll do my best to remember everything since its been a while..I can only hear the noise when I have the window down and it mainly sounds like its right under me on the drivers side. The only reason I noticed it so loudly the other day is because with all the snow, I got stuck in the driveway and he had to drive it up to the house. So while he was driving, I could hear it very well. I thought we had fixed it when we installed the new sway bars, but with it being winter I haven't had the windows down to notice if it was still squeaking.

I'm not sure which ball joint was replaced, like I said the guy helping him was in a hurry and just busted it off so he bought another one and replaced it for me. If it were a ball joint on the other side would the sound be so distinct on my side of the car?
