My 4th gen had a ton of suspension squeak that was frankly, embarrassing. The symptoms were squeaking when: making left and right turns less than a full turn, braking, going over any sort of bumps.
The truck had 256k on it. The UBJ and LBJ were both old and leaking. I replaced the UCA and that did not fix the sound. So I set out to replace the next set of arms that were most likely the culprit.
I went with a bolt in affair. Purchased on Rockauto, I purchased the SKP left and right arms. For around $62 each +shipping.
The SKP LCAs came with new bushings and new LBJ already pressed in.
I would highly recommend buying OEM hardware (not Moog) for the LCAs. For two reasons. The LCA bushings have a sleeve in the front bushing and it is common for one or both to rust and seize inside the bushing. I lucked out and only had one sleeve rust and get stuck.
The second reason I recommend using OEM is the MOOG cams have NO markings on them. And the eccentric washer is soft and stripped out upon reinstallation. I will be replacing these with OEM parts next time I do maintenance on the 4r.
Hope this is helpful!
