Squeal when clutch is released? Help

1. I've got a slight squeal when I release my clutch into first gear from a complete stop. It doesn't happen all the time...... any ideas as to what is causing this?

2. When i make a hard turn to the left there is a loud clicking or creaking noise coming from the driver side front wheel... could it be the CV Joint.....

Any help would be great

I have the completely exact same problem on my 94 22re 5spd 4wd! It started around the same time I lost my 4wheel drive. I hope someone knows what exactly it is so I can get right to it instead of taking it to a garage to get a diagnosis!

YOUR CLUTCH IS SLIPPING. MIGHT NEED ADJUSTMENT, BUT PROBABLY NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.

I have the same clutch problem, but I think my problem comes from when I rebuilt my motor the rear main seal didn't seal right and it's leaking oil on my new ceramic clutch So I think the guy above is right about the clutch slipping.

Does it only happen in 1st gear? Or does it happen in all gears? Does it happen if you let the clutch out in neutral with the engine running?

It might be your throw-out bearing. Cheap part, but expensive to replace because of the labor involved.

Yes it only happens in 1st gear and not all the time.

Only out of first gear from a complete stop for me too! My check engine light went on last night as well. Inspection is due next month and all the bugs are showing up!

If you intentionally slip the clutch, or try to let it out on a steep incline, you should hear the same noise. It will probably only do it for a second, then heat up and grab. My guess is it doesn't do it in 4WD LOW. It's easier on the clutch because of the ultra low gearing.
