Squeeky door only when it's hot

I've got an '03 SE 4WD that's coming up on 2 yr's old. Ever since it was new, both doors on the driver side squeek when I open and close them. But only when the temperature get's about 70 and the sun is out. (maybe the ambient temp is higher because of the sun). When the temp is low, it's fine, doesn't do it and works normal.

Anway, it's never been wrecked and there is no damage and I've never "hung" on the doors. Just wondering if this is normal and nothing the good ole grease gun won't fix.
Cheers,

I would try greasing up the hinges and see if that makes a difference at all. Do the doors open and close any harder when they're squeaking? I can't see it actually getting hot enough for the hardware to expand, maybe though. I would try the grease.

No, the door tension seems to be the same when squeeking or not. I'll try the grease and remember to ask the svc mgr at the Stealer next time I'm in.

I noticed you have the Sylvania SilverStars...How long have they lasted for you? I liked mine, but for $40, they only lasted 8 months. Glad I kep the originals, I had to put them back in.
Cheers,

Hopefully greasing it will help. I've only had the Silverstars about 2 months so far. I heard from a lot of people not to expect more then a year out of them so we'll see. I really like the brightness though. The XD5 foglights are supposed to compete with the Silverstars but last longer so we'll see how they do too.

What kind of grease...lithium?

I checked the owners manual, and I didn't see anything about lubing the door latches or hinges...

WD5 anything like that to grease it up.

silverstars have lasted me for over a year now.. come to think of it... year and a half now and haven't had any problems.
