SR5 Fender Flare Hardware

My SR5 Fender Flares just arrived for my 4Runner. Super excited to mount these tomorrow as I have been waiting for them for a while now. Only problem is the Seller/sender forgot to send the mounting hardware with the flares.

Can I pick the mounting hardware up at the local dealership? I tried searching online for the hardware but it seems they sell one bolt at a time! Hoping that there is a complete hardware set. I also have the front mud flaps along with the fender flare set so will need the hardware for those also.

The front mount with self tapping screws (unsure on the size). The rear main flair mount with a nut and bolt. The door mounts with brackets on the door and self tapping screws. Then the rear mudflap mounts with just regular bolts. Unsure on the sizes but all the bolt heads are 10mm size except for the door mounted flair part which uses a philips screw head. Buy the door brackets from the dealer or a cheap parts supplier. Buy the nuts and bolts cheaper somewhere else. Hope this helps.

Was the hardware supposed to be included? If so, I would be on the phone/writing an email to that guy and get it that way. You will have to buy all of the parts separately, unfortunately, if you have to go that way....and that's a lot of hardware...it will add up...I would say over $100 easily, through a dealer. There are "some" good diagrams, but I recently had a MAJOR pain just trying to find the pins and rivets for my 2000 SR5 4Runner flares, so they are not comprehensive, it doesn't seem.

OK,

So looks like I won't be getting my hardware so I will have to source it out.

My 4Runner came with the thin chrome flares. I took them off along with the running boards and sold them. Then I got these Black SR5 Flares with no hardware. I'm sure if I still had the thin chrome flare hardware that would work, is this correct?

So I need the hardware. Went to dealership but they seemed dumbfounded and said they only knew of the slim chrome and Limited flares. So no help there. Went on online OEM sites but their diagrams are confusing. I need help with what I really need. Don't want to use self-taping screws and also don't want to use something that will become loose over time. Going on a 3000 mile road trip and don't want a flare popping off while going 80mph. I'm fine using Ace Hardware/Home depot screws and bolts but don't new the sizes that I'm looking for.


Here are the slim flares I did have...

The holes they attached to. Are these the same as if the truck had the black SR5's?

Another interesting observation is this, they all are stamped 'AMP Industries' on the back. Are these aftermarket?

What's up Masphx,

Good to see you finally found your SR5 flares. If available to you, I would get your seller to send them to you. If that is not an option, find a good fastener store, some local ACE Hardware store have good nut/bolt selections. If I recall, there are quite few fasteners but not alot of different sizes.

Here is the diagram for the moulding...I just had to go through this with my rear flare...parts guy couldn't find it for some reason...

There may be some "common" bolts, but all the clips and other fasteners I think you would probably have to get from an OEM source for proper fit.

And, yes, those are aftermarket...my SR5 flares clearly have a Toyota part #.

They are made by AMP industries but you could only get them through Toyota. There is a part number from Toyota for them but I don't think they are made anymore, only the mud flaps. If the holes line up in the fender, then you should be able to use the same hardware. The only pieces you might have trouble finding are the clips that are installed on the rear doors, I haven't seen them for sale anywhere yet.
