Has anyone added the hood insulation to there 2010 4 runner SR5 yet, and if so how much was it and does anyone have a part number for it, I think it might stop some of the hood flex and help in cold weather running

I check the dealer, it costs around $235.00 +Tax, I don't know if this is a good price ?, anyone know where to get better deal. Thanks.

I Just went to the dealer to order the insulation, the guy at the counter told me they only make it for the limited not the SR5 or the TE, but it is the same hood, so order it anyway with 12 clips, it come with tax under $200.00.

I don't know if you paid yet but you could have ordered a little cheaper online then that.
$151.19 + $10 for clips plus shipping here .....ToyotaPartSales.com

I went out and actually looked at mine last night when I got home and there are 10 clips holding it on.I was not all that impressed as it was very thin insulation at about 1/8 inch.

Thanks Harper, I have tried the online but with shipping and every thing it only about $13.00 less than what i pick up at the local dealer, that is why i decide to go the local dealer. Hrmm I didn't know it is only 1/8" thick, you are right that doesn't impress.

Ya, not worth the hassle for $13
It might be a little thicker but not much.

You were right Harper. The insulation come today, it is not impress, so thin. The installation took only 5 minutes.

Dang!!!! I should have sold you mine and put in that 1/2 inch thick Dynomat stuff for $60. ....bangs head on keyboard thinking I told myself that:bash: lol

B-quiet is also a good alternative. I used it in a big stereo system install in my 350Z, and it was a very good product. Easily as good as Dynamat, if not better, especially for the price.
