SR5/Limited Side mirrors swap to TE

Guys and gals,

Just wondering if it is possible to swap side mirrors from the SR5 or Limited to Trail Edition? Do you guys think the wiring for the turn signal already installed in the TE? Anybody here has a EWD manual to see if they can look up if the wires/connectors exist in the TE. Let me know what you guys think.

I was wondering the same thing. I figured they might have the same wiring, if not an easy wire to add for them.

Thanks for the EWD link. I really like the SR5/Limited side mirrors and I know they will look pretty cool on TEs. So if the harnesses are different then I may have to go different route and more likely will copy the turn signal lights installed on fenders that you can see on JDM 80 Series Land Cruisers as seen on attached pics. I may have to cut a semi rectangular hole on the fender at a later date.

You could try to run the extra wiring for the turn signals and puddle lamps.

Its been awhile since anyone has added to this conversation. Has anyone attempted this MOD?

I am real interested in swapping out my TE side mirrors for the limiteds heated/turn signal/puddle light mirrors and I was wondering if anyone has had any luck.

I'm about to accomplish this feat on my 13 TE. I'll keep it updated once I get the new mirrors and start tearing the doors and mirrors apart.
