Stabilizer bar torque specs?

So yesterday my son and I replaced the sway bar bushings (front and rear) with the Wheelers kits. I didn't find many write-ups on the subject - it is pretty straight-forward - and I did read this one write-up:

I could not find any torque specs anywhere, however. For the end link control bushings I just tried to match the length of thread from the original, so that it was snug but not highly-compressed.

For the main brackets I just tightened them with the rachet, they were not hard to get off at all, did not need to use any spray or anything. Do these need to be torqued?

14ft/lbs for the top nut, 51ft/lbs where the links attach to the frame. The nuts are supposedly TTY (torque to yield) to be used only once, but I cannot recall one person who has reused them and had any failures including myself.

Good luck torquing the top nuts in the rear.

No pictures during, I can snap a couple tonight to show the after.

The rear was super easy and accessible, the real pain was the front sway bar, especially the passenger side due to the exhaust - not much rachet room up there without banging things.

Curious where you found the torque specs...?

I also have and attempted to do the steering rack bushing replacement while I had the front bar removed, but I could not for the life of me get the bolts broken free. Those buggers torque to like 125 ft. lbs. or so. Going to have the garage down the street do that for me while I watch

The previous owner of mine bought the fsm when they bought the 4runner new, yet had the dealer do all the work.

You need a stubby 3/8" ratchet to easily reach those bolts beside the cat for the sway bar.

I have yet to do the rack bushings, so I'll leave that up to someone else to comment on.

Thanks for posting this question, I had to replace my bushings earlier and just gave them all a little sweat lol Will apply proper torque next time I'm in the garage. I need to invest in a good torque wrench!
