Stainless Exhaust tip. Where and Which one?

I have an 06 Sport and really like how the stainless exhaust tip looks on the Limited Edn. What brand is this or where can get the OEM version? How much$?

Does it just slide on over the exhaust tip and tighten down with a nut or clamp?

Its an accessory that you can get from the dealer. I think its like $65. Its not standard on the Limited, its an option (dealer installed) across all 3 trim levels. My limited did not come with it, and I can't decide if I want to get it or not because I may just get an aftermarket exhaust down the road and then I'll be out $65.
 
I have the TRD tip and the only thing that I don't like is the way the bolt for the clamp sticks out. Makes it look like an add-on.
 
Picked mine up from Advance Auto for about 1/2 the cost of the Dealer installed tip. To be honest, it looks just like the OE one.

I got mine from AutoZone for $20... Made by 3A racing kinda ricey but I like it. 1BadGixxer or ALLEGRO,

Can either one of you get a close up shot of the tip? I think I found the one you have, but it looks like the muffler goes in that far(about 3-4 inches?). It also looks like the bolts would stick out pretty far.

Also, any problems w/ the bolts coming loose? Pretty much just slide it over the existing muffler and tighten it? They look nice, but I don't want it falling off one day. haha

Dude get it welded! Having a bolt on tip is weak, the fasteners are usuall bulky and noticable. If you look around, you will easily be able to have one welded on for $50.
 
You cant even see the bolts... I cut about 4" off off the tail pipe before putting it on, if not it will come right through.
 
exhaust tip

i still have the Valor exhaust tip that was a dealer option from my 4runner sitting in my garage after i installed the borla exhaust kit. i have no use for it and if you want it, send me a pm.
 
I picked it up at the local autoparts store. Was not very expensive and appears to be a very similar tip sold by the dealership where I purchased the T4R.

It says 3 R Racing on the tip, and as I do an image search, there must be quite a few of them out there.

If you have the V8, cut the resinator off. Very sweet sound and not loud at all. Either add a straight piece from the tip to the point that used to be the resinator or just go straight stainless all the way.
