I have been looking for some SS brake lines for my 04 V8 Sport Edition. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with SS lines and can give any recommendations. I would like to get a full set for the front and rear. I have a daystar 2.5/1.5 lift, so I would most likely want to get some extended lines, for the rear at least. Which manufacturers should I take a look at, and is it really necessary to completely replace the brake fluid with dot 4 or higher?
I read on here that if you completely drain the master cylinder that you have to take it in to the dealer, why is that? Is there an error code that prevents the truck from running, or is there actually something they have to work on. I have plenty of experience with brake pads, rotors, and lines to feel comfortable doing this job on my own. But I don't like the idea of completely drain the system.
