Standard Metal Sizes

Folks,

I'm designing a custom rear bumper and receiver hitch for my 87 4Runner (1987 Toyota 4Runner) and need to know some standard metal sizes. Can anyone point me to an online resource for info?

For example, what are the actual dimensions of 2x2 square receiver tubes?
I assume the inside size is 2"x2" (or very slightly more)...is that right?
How about the outside?

The standard Class III hitch and receiver are referred to as "2 inch". But what exactly is 2"?

Is the hitch bar 2" OD? Meaning the hitch receiver would be 2" ID?

Or is the hitch receiver 2" OD and something quite less ID and thus the bar is also much less?

My hitch is rusted in solid otherwise I'd pull it out & measure it for you. Maybe head down to your local auto store with a ruler & measure the hitches they have for sale?

Yeah, it's pretty cool. The steel tubing specs even include a weight specification, so I was able to calculate my receiver hitch will weight about 77.7 pounds.
