Start up engine rumble... 2000 V6 SR5

Hello, I'm a rookie and this is my first post. Please forgive me if it has been talked about before. I did some searches but haven't found it yet.

Anyways, I have a 2000 V6 SR5 and when I start driving in the morning it rumbles quite a bit. After driving for about 1-2 minutes I hear a couple of pops and then it starts running just fine. I regularly use gas additives and have recently the injectors cleaned at the shop and I also recently replaced my fuel pump after it went out. I have 165K miles on it.

I just replaced the spark plugs last night and the wires were replaced about 60K miles ago. The guy that was helping me took it on a test drive and said that it might be a transmission issue because when I give it gas it doesn't get up and go right away and there is a pause to up-shift.

When did the rumbling start? So after the 1-2 minutes it goes away completely?

Check the transmission fluid level, give it a sniff and see if its ok. Make sure you don't have pink milkshake either.

Since its been 60k since you changed your tranny fluid, might be a good idea to drop the pan and check for any excessive metal shavings. Get some fresh stuff in there.
