I've been looking and found them, but no explanation as to whether they are the same for 1.4 and 1.8kw starters. so, are these parts the same for both these starters? does the 1.4kw have the same contacts as the 1.8kw?

I just fixed my starter solenoid and I was wondering if it really mattered which contacts you used. They're just a couple hunks of copper that the plunger makes contact with. I searched hi and low for a plunger and contacts for my starter and the only place I could find them was the dealership. All the repair kits I found on Amazon and Ebay didn't list my Denso part number as one it would work for. I paid $69 for a new plunger and the two contact kits from my local dealer. The contact kits did come with all the other related parts like the washers, bolts, o-rings, etc, so maybe that's why they are little more pricey.

My starter is a 1.8kw. When I was at the dealership, they were first telling me my starter was a 1.4kw but the parts gal was mistaken. I'm guessing there's different part numbers since they were making sure which kilowatt starter I had before ordering the parts.

Here's my part numbers:

My Starter is Toyota Part #28100-62030
Denso Part Number for my Starter #228000-4082 (1.8kw)
Part numbers for the contacts #28226-54340 & #28226-72010
Part number for the Plunger/Magnet #28235-54380

Here's the video I did of the repair for those that are interested:
