The girl I am dating drives a 2003 T4R SR5 V6 85K Miles. In the past few weeks we have noticed that when we insert the key and turn it to the start position the starter wont do anything or make any noise for 5 to 6 seconds. Once this 5 to 6 seconds has past it starts right up. The battery is fine and seems to have sufficient power to run the starter so I am thinking that it is a problem with the contacts on the ignition tumbler or an electrical problem somewhere in the ignition module. Has anybody else had this problem? and if so how did you fix it? Thanks for everything.
