Hoping member(s) is familiar, or experienced similar symptoms:

Symptoms:
Starter acted up where I would turn the key but the solenoid would not engage, I replaced it with an aftermarket starter:ybrick:

The replacement starter worked fine for a few months but now it is starting to act up again where when I turn the key the starter will not engage? Find if I let it set for 20-30 min's it starts with the 1st attempt and it works fine for awhile then it won't, and the same if I jump-start where it works fine for a while and then it wont??

Local Toyota dealership asking $180, which I do not have a problem with if they install it comes to approx. $800 which I do have a problem with.
Appreciate any comments or suggestions! Thank you

It could be that the starter that you put in went bad. I had that happen with a Volvo I owned. I replaced the starter and 3 months later it started showing the same symptoms. I was lucky enough that the second starter was covered under warranty.
