I Have a 2003 V8 4.7 4X4 the car just died while running one day (like someone turned off the key), I went to start it back up and it would not start. I let it sit and tried a little later and it started. This happened a few times in the same day then it just would not start at all. I pulled the starter had it tested and it tested bad, so i repaced it. After replacing it I went to start it and still nothing, like the starter is not getting power. I here a click from my ECM and a click from my relay. All my fuses are good as well I also replaced the relay and still nothing. Ackwardly enough when I was trying to pull out the starting relay I accidently pushed down on another relay and without the key being held to start the car started to crank. When I relieved pressure it stopped. I went to hook up a OBD 2 To see if I could tell anything but it says it cannot connect. I dont know where the fuse is for it so it could be the fuse. The car has 170k on it. Any ideas on why it will not start? does the fact me relay is clicking tell me anything about the condition of my ECM? Is it my ignition switch possibly? Thanks for any help

start with the easy stuff first, i had a similar problem that wound up being loose wires on the battery terminal.

Clicking noises usually mean a weak battery.

x2 :withstupid: But check the battery (Panasonic) indicators if it's blue, white, or red.
