I did a search on this and did not see any results. The first thing I have done to my runner was get some real headlights as the stocks one's remind me of the old tin flashlight my Grandfather kept in the garage. Dim yellow and doesn't help much. I bought some Pilot Hyper White 65/45 watt bulbs. I was wondering if anyone knows the laws on wattage. I know your not suppose to have Blue lights but on the DMV sight all it really says is you must have two light on the front of your vehicle.

I was just wondering if anyone has run into trouble with nice bright headlights. I know every state will vary I am specifically referring to California.

Yeah, people wont stop flashing their brights at me because they think my hi-beams are on hahah. Not sure if there is a wattage law but there definitely is a law as to how your lights point in and up and down... couldnt tell you any specifics

Forget about looking for specific wattages in the VC. I would just search around the VC to see where they specify that you need DOT approved replacement headlight bulbs and stop there, because whatever over-wattage hyper super duper light bulbs you bought is almost certainly not DOT approved.

Besides, do you really even need to ask if that is illegal in commiefornia? Even me living thousands of miles away can take an educated guess and say probably not legal there, lol.

What grade are you in? I can't tell if you're making shit up to save face or if you actually believe what you just spewed, but do a little research before you regurgitate any more of that crap. People are flashing you because they can't see with your headlights in their eyes, genius, and they're trying to do you a favor and let you know. Bright headlights aren't awesome, and they don't make you cool. They make you a road hazard.

How about if I say please? Please go fix your headlights. I promise you 10,000 awesome points.

You'd get my led bar if you were oncoming. I run 35w HIDs, I am pretty damn lifted, but I do not get brighted. It's not impossible to have very bright headlights and at the same time be legal and not piss everybody off on the road.

Let me guess: you've got those really sweet 8000K HID bulbs in your reflector headlights.

Now please feel free to correct me if I am wrong, but what you are trying to say is that if I do understand how thin air affects how the lights are seen I won't be blinded by your improperly aimed headlights anymore?

Dont need to waste my time with this. Bottom line is my headlights are fine, they are legal and not some 8000k HID.

As far as my thin air comment, yes i agree with you when you said that was stupid. I do think tourists think lights are brighter without any street lights to equal them out.
Also thanks for the spell correction wow I didn't know it was so important to you all but guess I was wrong.

Actually they are 4500k in legal housing made for HID use guys. If you read my signature you would know that. I'm not into looking all pretty on the street like the newer runners running that colored crap. :lmao:
