$$ Stealthbox for 03-05 4Runner?

So I went to a local JL Audio dealer in town and he was quoting me a price of $599 MSRP for a Stealthbox - he said he could sell it to me for $550. Is this a good deal?
I know I've seen MSRP values on porducts Ive bought in the past that are highly inflated to what I bought them for.
Has anyone else checked into to pricing on these? Where can I get one cheaper, if at all?

it might be worth it. Custom jobs for the box alone in fiberglass have ranged from 350-400 dolalrs and the subwoofer an additional 150-?

However you should talk to them about creating a custom box out of maybe some 3/4 or an inch MDF wood and quit possible size it for a larger subwoofer and a more powerful one.

but 550 isn't bad.

I could've sworn the JL stealthbox was on a wbestie for like $300 or less.

That sounds right for the JL stealthbox...they are spendy but I had one on my old runner ('97) and it was the best sounding 10" I ever heard and it gave me all my storage space.

I doubt the stealthbox was on any site for less than 300$ and if it was I would question the validity of the product.

My bet would be that you would not be dissapointed with the JL box.

I'm jealous. How much did you pay? What wiring kit did you use?

I would love that amp, but im dead broke at this moment.

I love my 5/500!!! I wire everything from scratch so no kit...used 1/0 gauge from battery to back then to 4 gauge into the amp with inline fuse and breaker by the battery.

I think I paid $400 on ebay...was a demo that was never hooked up to power just was on display and has always worked perfectly.
