Steel wheels

Does anyone run 15" pro comp steel wheels or just 15" steel wheels? I have read they won't fit on 4Runners that where 97 and up because of bigger brakes. Is this true?

minimum size is 16" if you don't have the "sport" brakes, if you do; it's 17" minimum.

They should as most every 17" wheel clears the Sport calipers.

They wont clear. A buddy of mine runs them, and needs a 1" spacer to clear the caliper up front

Edit: just saw you have spacers already. It should be a fine width, but will be harder to clear bigger tires on the body mount and fender since it sticks out further. 285's should be ok though

Thanks for the info and quick response! Any ideas on aftermarket steelies that do clear the caliper? I'm not feeling the FJ stockers and I want something I'll have a hard time bashing up and being pissed about the cost.

Dang I was just about to pull the trigger in these...sorry to revive a dead thread. Any ideas on alternate wheels with a good offset and around 17x8? Hopefully something cheapish
