Steelcraft Bar 1, Light Pole 0

Ok yes I admit it. I hit light pole (with fused bulb) at the corner of the street around 5:30AM morning, after 2 hours of sleep (sick 18 months old...you know the drill). Anyways, I was probably doing about 20mph and hit the pole at the turn. After the collision, the pole was bent about 60 degrees.

My steelcraft bullbar took the impact and got bent. My off-road light was broken and tough i haven't taken off the bullbar yet, the damage to the bumber is minimal. I would say, that 170 bucks would pay off, as I will not have to change the bumber. Anyway this bullbar can be straightend out? or should I just scrapt it? (Here are some pictures of T4R afterwards, sorry I was almost half asleep at the time to take pic of the pole.....)

Looks like the bull bar and the bumper have had it. Neither look repairable. If you have the funds, it might be time to invest in an aftermarket bumper.
 
I highly doubt you can bend that back. Probably wouldn't even do much good to try.

What's up with your passenger fender flare?

That may be an option in the future as I have XREAS and it has about 73K miles. I am not ready to yank off XREAS yet. I am ready to scrape the bull bar and will see the extent of damage to the bumber, once I take it off. At that time, I will figure out the next course of action.

Bumber got pushed in due to the impact and it shows on the fender flare. Bullbar is till 'IN' position and I have not taken it out yet, will see bumber damage once I take off bull bar.
 
At 20 mph that was a pretty good impact. The bull bar stood up pretty well, but its time to get a new one. Hopefully you can do something with the bumper as that is a lot more expensive to replace. By the way, your blacked out front end looks great.:roadkill:
 
So finally I took the bent-out bull bar off the 4Runner and this is what came out. It certainly is not that bad at all considering the state bull bar is in. I'd say it certainly saved me from changing out the bumper.

Wow! Do all the parts stil line up? Like the side of the bumper to around to the wheel well trim?

Ive been leaning towards getting a steelcraft, but im not sure how well it'll match up with the Sport Edition Bar steps and rack.

Good to see your Runner wasnt too badly damaged! Are you going to get another Steelcraft?

I still wont buy one before i SEE it and compare it to the rest of the OEM tubing. Wish there was a speed shop around me that i could go se one.

OP, was there anything you didnt like about the Steelcraft?
 
looks like some of your lower grille got pretty scraped up. Could consider plasti-dipping that, IMO it'll go with your look up front perfectly and hide those scratches well!:hatsoff:

Yes, all parts line up. I am considering buying another steelcraft. I like that look with off-road lights. Can't buy the off-road bumper just yet (Xreas). I may look at the light bar also.
 
I say scrap the tube and just evo mod the bottom part with some plastidip. Although a light bar could also work, maybe both. I don't think you should go with another steelcraft though IMO. I personally think it looks definitely better without.

*Edit*: Also I think you should do a BHLM, it would make your truck look awesome IMO.
