Steering play and "wobble"

I have a 1989 4runner that has been sasd and Ive noticed that its very unstable at high speeds(like 70-100kmph). Theres also a TON of play in the steering wheel when driving. What are some ways to fix this? Im very new to the sas world. I bough it with it already. Thanks!

haha. frame is actually super clean from what I can see. no rust too

I meant by how the IFS was hacked out.

It is possible the front hanger was not installed square or the shackles were misaligned.
have you checked your tie rod ends? wheel bearings? if it was a trail gear kit their spring bushings have short lives. how about the steering box? An 89 has a 28 year old box and may need to be rebuilt. There is a locking nut on the steering with a straight slot screw in it that can sometimes be used to tightened the steering. Tires balanced correctly? any wear on them to indicate alignment issues
There is a ton of crap that can go wrong..

It’s not quite death wobble. I’ve got a ton of play in the steering wheel when driving straight(like 30 degrees each way). I’ll take a look at the steering box sometime this this weekend. And I’ll check the spring bushings as well. Tie rods and wheel bearings are fine. Tires are a bit low on their tread. I’ll try and get some pics and post them up. What would I be taking pics of?

Ohhh haha. I got scared for a second and thought my frame was bent. I’ll take a look and see what’s up

I just bought a 1991 4runner and it has the same thing. alot of play in the steering. Im looking at it today to find the source of the problem.

If i find something that fixes it i will let yall know
