Steering Vibration

A couple weeks ago I installed the Rough Country 3" lift kit and seemed to be getting a slight vibration in the steering afterwards. (I know it might not be the best lift but the price was right for now)

Since then I have had the tires balanced and rotated and had a wheel alignment done, which to my understanding is recommended after a lift. It seems to have got better but at any speed over 105km/h I'm still getting a vibration. If I let go of the wheel the car does not pull and it does not seem to be affecting anything.

The entire front suspension has been looked at any apart from being told the shocks are warn everything seems great! Also, there was zero sag in the suspension before the lift was installed. The vibration intensity does seem to vary in different sections of road but rarely completely goes away.

SO I'm wondering if this could be caused by the front spacers combined with my shocks that have over 200 000km on them and were recommended to be replaced? Is this normal?

T4Running I have the same issue but the vibration didnt occure after my 2.5 inch lift it occured after i bought some bart D trucker 15x8 6x5.5 wheels and had my tires put on and i have had an alignment and have had all of my wheels balanced and my steering wheel vibrates from 44-55mph and at about 75-80 mph the whole dash/steering column shakes and i too have no idea what could be wrong.

I have the same thing, and I'm only running the '99 tall springs. Virtually everything in the front suspension on mine has been changed, and I've had the tires balanced twice, both times by good shops. At this point I'm suspecting the CV joints.

I can grab the wheel and make the shaking stop, but if I'm just holding it loosely with one hand it's very noticeable. There are several other threads about this same issue, and I don't think anyone has come to a solid conclusion about what's causing it. I've replaced inner and out tie rods, steering rack bushings, upper and lower ball joints, calipers, and rotors. The CV joints are about all that's left up there that's rotating. I guess I could have a bad bearing, but it's been doing this for more than 10k miles so you'd think it would have made itself obvious at this point if that's what it was.

I think im going to try putting my stock wheels on and see if that helps because i never had an issue untill coming home from having my tires put on my wheels and before my alignment it was fine other than the vibration and not the vibration is more violant and it pulls to the right if i let go of the steering wheel so im going back to get another alignment (for free because they goofed mine up the first time) sometime between Wednesday and Friday

Well the only thing I can think it might be is that the struts are blown and now over stressed with a spacer lift. Talked to a mechanic today who says that if the struts are worn out then the springs are doing the struts job (which they can't) so the tire just bounces causing the steering vibration.

Does this seem reasonable to anyone?

I FIGURED OUT MY VIBRATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of my wheels are bent from summit racing so im going to have to look into getting either another set or another wheel but i took my left front tire off and swirched it with the right back tire and the vibration is almost complete gone other than when going around a right turn when you have to depend on that right back tire the whole truck shakes for the most part and looking out of the side mirror i can see the tire shaking like its none of your business so at least i dont have to worry about ball joints struts cv's and all of the other little stuff but my vibration is completely gone when im going straight
