Steering Wheel Control Question

Just out of curiosity, why is it that the 4runner only has steering wheel controls on the left side of the steering wheel.

Wouldn't it make more sense to put the cruise controls on the right side instead of behind the steering wheel?

The right side is used for the nav. system when equipped... :

right side buttons exist for bluetooth and cell phone i believe, there is a thread with someone retrofitting it in a SR5 somewhere, do a search ...............

The location of the cruise control stalk behind the steering wheel rim is Toyota's corporate location, and has been for a decade or more. IMHO, this is an excellent control, ergonomically way better than the steering wheel buttons that were on our BMW 528i.

Now if you want to experience a truly sucky cruise control stalk, go drive a Mercedes!
