Steering Wheel Swap Question.

Hey guys, my 98 Limited has a beat up leather steering wheel (what a surprise huh). I was fortunate enough to find a excellent condition urethane steering wheel off a 99 without the airbag (don't want leather). Now here is the confusing part, the steering wheels and air bags look exactly the same from 1998 to 2002. However, this guys post states the horn brackets are not compatible, causing his horn to stay on (bottom of the thread). Can anyone chime in on this? Thanks.

I know for a fact 99-01 are the same.

Ok guys, the 99 urethane steering wheel fits perfect with my 98 airbag. My airbag was tan so I sprayed 3 coats of Dupicolor Vinyl flat black and it looks awesome. I love my steering wheel since now I don't have to worry about leather tearing or wearing down. So yes, I can confirm 98 and 99 steering wheel components are interchangeable.
