Stepping into a G3 - 3.0 Turbo Diesel

Hi guys, wonder if any of you have experience with a 3.0 L Turbo Diesel G3 (1998).

I'm currently playing with the idea of selling my G2 and get this baby, which has 94.000 miles.

All/any comments are welcome.

i doubt anyone here has had experience with that motor, but toyota diesels have a good reputation.

Is there anything regarding body / transmition I should pay spetial attention to? Had there been any particular problems with G3 models?

For your guidance, most Toyota's arround here (Argentina, Paraguay - believe Chile and Brazil too) are Diesel.

Basic reason:
Gasoline: 0,70 usd/L (2,64 usd/gal)
Diesl: 0,50 usd/L (1,90 usd/gal)
