stereo replacement for 05 sport factory?

looking to replace my jbl stereo from 05 sport (yes, the one w/ the tape player). looking for a simple transition w/ ipod jack and w/out a tape player. the easier and more economical the better as i don't know much about stereo's and don't feel like spending too much.

what about a toyota unit

what if i was to use a toyota unit such as one from a sequoia, 4runner, etc.? do they have standard sizes? would the adapter be needed for a jbl stereo?

No, I think you could put in any JBL unit that has the 20 pin plug.
