Sticking rear caliper?

Has anyone had a rear brake caliper stick? I've had several front's stick, but never a rear one. I haven't seen anything on here except for front calipers sticking. I believe I may have a sticking rear caliper and I know the 4th gens are notorious for calipers seizing up.

Both of my rears have been replaced due to them sticking. The rears are a single sided, single caliper floating disc brake design. The outer side usually sticks due to gunk or rust on the slide. I found both of mine like that.

The brakes on these vehicles appears to be the weak spot. I have replaced every wheels brakes and will probably due so again. Just buy one from a reputable store with a lifetime warranty and expect that every couple of years it might need replacing.

Any brake caliper can stick. But the design of the rear calipers - it's rare. But it can happen. I've had vehicles with well over 400k miles with the original (working perfectly) calipers.

Yes, it has happened. Yes, there are reports here on toyota-4runner.org of sticking rear calipers, you just didn't look very hard. I've replaced my rear calipers twice.
