i have a 94 v6 with 156,000 and i noticed that the pedal is kinda sticky. its not like if i take my foot off, it will stay or anything, but it doesnt have a smooth motion to it. i had it in the shop not too long ago and asked them to look at it, but they said they didnt notice it at all. this led me to belive they didnt check it out while it was running, because it seems to be a lot smoother while the engine is off. i was wondering if any of you guys have run into this or know how to fix it. i havent tried to clean out the intake yet.
also, on the inside of the truck, is there supposed to be grease or a similar substance coating the spring right behind the gas pedal that returns it to the original position?
this isnt that big of a problem. in slippery conditions it causes a lot of wheel slip because it quite hard to power on and power off smoothly. also, i think it may be killing my gas mileage. thanks for all the help.
