Sticky: Recalls

I don't believe there have been any recalls on the 4th gen.

Like any other car, there are a number of known, irritating issues. Those are addressed by Technical Service Bulletins, or TSB's. A TSB is not a recall; it's simply a known fix for what Toyota considers to be a common problem that people go to the dealer about. The TSB tells the dealer how to fix it. Work related to a TSB is free as long as the parts involved are still under warranty. Searching for "TSB" should bring up a number of threads.

Does the 4th Gen T4R's have any recalls and documented problems?

The very first early production V6's had a fuel system recall. Something under the hood, I believe a regulator. This was caught very early and didn't impact much of production..

The V6 also had a front crankshaft seal inspection and voluntary recall due to something in the clearance of the belt pulley. It was for specific VIN's and time limited to be covered under warranty. I didn't have a seal leak but still had mine done at the last possible time in order to get more life out of the fix.
