I know a lot of people have this problem, but mine was solved by replacing the accelerator cable, that is attached to the gas pedal. (not throttle cable, that one is actually the kickdown cable for the auto tranny).
Just thought I'd share.
Of course, before you dish out $60+ make sure you clean the throttle body.
