Well I tested the capacity of the 4R again this weekend, took a trip upto the Minnesota Canada border for an ice fishing trip with 3 buddies. So we had 4 guys with all of our fishing gear and of course the essential nector to survive some cold overnights on the lake. As you can see I added on my Yakima roof carrier as well as my rear hitch mount to get everything north. Once nice thing about the 4R compared to my last Jeep Grand Cherokees is that I was not able to open the rear hatch on my Jeep's when I had the rear carrier on. With the 4R the hatch clears just fine and since it has the nice Auto close feature I can make sure I clear the hitch mount and I don't have to slam it close.
