Hey KMX,
Your posts all seem to be on a theme, namely pooh-poohing (pun intended) the whole "sulfur smell problem". Are you a Toyota shill?
The issue is a problem, otherwise Toyota would NEVER have issued TSB's for 3 years, IN A ROW!! lol!
I, for one, have called Toyota to register my beef and will continue to do so monthly until I see a 2005 V8 TSB. I think it's a great idea, so if you think it may hurt your resale, jump on the bandwagon, cuz the sooner its fixed, the sooner its a problem no longer. Otherwise, the issue will continue to fester on boards like this and pretty soon, guess what, Joe Q. Public becomes aware of the "stink"mobiles and your issue does become a reality. And nobody wants to see that happen.
So, join up with the rest of us stinkos, and lets fix our problem before we have to deal with the problem you describe.
Oh yeah, before I forget, can the air system be re-programmed so that "recirc" doesn't come on every time you shut off the vehicle? I prefer to drive with the fresh air return pumping into the vehicle. It also helps to reduce the stink phenomenon by producing a slight over pressure in the passenger compartment so not as many fumes are sucked in by the vacuum action of the (slightly) open tailgate window. It also helps alleviate the CO concerns.
Cheers, Elroy
