Stock Aux port/ 12v charging audio feedback

I have a 2008 SE. OEM center console Aux port and radio. I have noticed that the aux input works fine, unless I am charging the audio playing device through the stock 12v location by the gear shift. At which point there is a background feedback noise that is very obvious. I tried different aux cords and USB chargers at the stock 12v charging location, but the feed back persists. The only thing that stops the feedback is if the charger is unplugged, or If I charge the device with an external mini battery pack. So I have narrowed it down to the stock 12v plug causing feedback through the aux input . any ideas on how to fix? I also noticed the noise is much quieter if the engine is off. Much louder while driving.

I had the same problem with my 08'. I bought this and it completely fixed the noise when charging and using the aux cord

You can also use a wall charger in the 115v port with the aux and get no feedback. Thats what i use on road trips while listening to an audiobook and using gps.

Second this. I bought one of the hundreds off of amazon for like $8 and it completely fixed the problem. Was a life saver.

There is a Toyota fix for this as well. Not really cost effective unless you really like your Aux port. The TSB document lists all necessary part numbers.
