Stock blinker position options

Ok so i recently found out an led switchback can be placed in the stock blinker spot and it will shine white anytime the blinker is not on and when the blinker is on it flashes amber. I was curious if anybody had ever made it to where it shines amber and then flashes amber. Any ideas on how to do this would be appreciated. Thank yall.

I also noticed that on the tundras the DRLs r amber and they blink amber when the turn signal is turned on. I am curious if i could take the wire from a tundra that does this and put it in my 4runner and have the same function.

Not sure if this helps any but I got sick of busting/blowing bulbs in my turn signals that were located in the bumper while off roading. With inspection coming up I had to think of something fast. So I cut the wires running to turn signals and soldered them to the daytime running light wires (cutting the wires to the daytime running lights and removing them). Then I just put in an electronic flasher to make them flash at normal speed again. They have worked fine for about a year now.
