Stock CD player won't light up.

As i just got my 2000 T4R, i noticed that the stock CD player isn't lighting up. I'm pretty lost on finding the problem. So if anyone has any ideas. Please Respond...

light bulbs do burn out buddy...

what year do u have? well while u are at it you should replace all the other in the dash with bright white led bulbs! looks better

Oh good point there! I'm probably jut going to end up putting my Pioneer HU in soon. Possibly replacing the bulbs with LEDs like you mentioned too.

I'm thinking of changing my dash lights to the white LEDs, but if i did, I'd also light to change the green bulbs in my factory head unit to white as well. Has anyone ever replaced the bulbs in a head unit before, or can it even be done?

answering my own question.... I took apart the stock head unit to see what kind of bulbs it uses to light up the face. Turns out that they are tiny 1mm bulbs that are built into the circuit board. No way to change them out.

I have a low tech solution that may work.

Try sticking your finger into the tape deck and applying some upward pressure. I was having the same problem and this works.
