Stock Dunlop Tire Pressure?

I just picked up my SR5 and it came with the Dunlops. Just wondering what the tire pressure should be for normal highway driving. The door says 31-32 psi and the tires say up to 51 psi.

Thanks,
Rob

Mine came at 44 psi which caused the vehicle to "dance" down the interstate, steering feel to be nonexistent and prone to crosswinds. I tested various pressures (from 44 to 32 psi) and found that 35 psi gave me what I feel is the best performance the OEM tires can give, which is to say not much.

Having worked for a tire company in the past I can tell you that the pressure recommended by the auto manufacturer is a compromise of ride quality, handling, and tire life. Maximum tire life will be accomplished at about 3-4 pounds higher pressure than recommended with a slight increase in MPG. Handling usually will be more responsive at these pressures (many autocrossers actually go 10-15 pounds over). However, the increased pressure will increase ride harshness.

These tires came on my T4R from the dealer.
Had >50K miles on them at 7/2011 purchase.
Cold, they were inflated at 49PSI all 4 around. The spare was down to 28PSI and the sensor alerted me to refill. All is good right now and I don't see nor feel any difference in handling performance.

Is it wise to lower the tire air pressure to manufact. specs for this vehicle with this particular tire? These tires seem to perform just fine for me currently on the road.
