Stock Radio Issue

I have a 2001 4Runner with a stock radio. Recently the preset buttons stopped working. The knob works to change the stations but once a station is on, it changes stations by itself and it's not on scan or anything it just won't stay on a single station.

Any suggestions or is the radio shot?

Did you try pulling the fuse or disconnecting the battery? Everything in this world these days can sometimes be fixed by a cold start.

x2 or just buy a new deck, you can get decent ones cheap now a days

I did pull the fuse and disconnect the battery but that only lasted about 5 minutes before it wasn't working again.
